CADJPY long trade on 4/2/25

Pre-Analysis:

- Trade based on scalping system.

- CAD show strength while JPY group was the weakest currency.

- Risk $10, exit at 1R profit.

Entry:

- Entry time 6:58pm

- Immediate strength meter 

Post Analysis:

- Have to scratch this trade.

- Make a big mistake as I entered a wrong trade size. This should be 0.04 size as I wrongly enter 0.4 lot size.

- I realized this when my position shown loss of around $10 while still far from my stop level. 

- Immediately after I realized my mistake, I close this trade as this might make my loss bigger than my intended risk.

- I'm too rush in taking this trade and made a mistake on enter my position size.

- This trade was very close to my target price. It will depend on how I managed this position to close for a profit or break even.

- Shouldn't made this position size mistake.

6 Jan 2025: CADJPY

 CADJPY long trade on 6/1/25

Pre-Analysis:

- Strength meter CAD = +5, JPY = -1

- Plan to take profit at 2R

Entry:

- Entry time 11:00pm (New York session).

- Immediate strength meter

Post Analysis:

- Another scratched trade.

- Lost confident as price dropped below entry price after a brief surge up. Decided to take a lost on this.

- Price able to reach my 2R target. 

- Can't do much as I'm not confident to hold on this trade.

- Still can't trade confidently and consistently.

- Not important whether you are right or wrong. How much money you make when you're right and how much you lose when you're wrong the most important.

- Note: missed this trade as I'm off from my trading desk. Should be at trading desk starting at 8:00pm to scan all 28 pairs. This should not happen. Do not lose focus.

- Max possible profit 7.3R, with holding period until 10/3/23.

- Max profit 11.29R, trade influenced by important news event related to CAD (employment change & unemployment rate).

3 Mar 2023 (Trade Example): CADJPY

- Max profit 4.06R (until end of trading day)

- Note: Missed this trade as I plan to wait for New York session open. I prepared for this trade and aware that trade may came but missed it. Next time I must take into consideration a trade may happen before New York open as well.

- This example only considers technical aspect and impact on news even only. No data on strength and correlation.

- In real trade it can be consider for half of original risk. (As this trade not supported by currency strength and correlation).

Pre-Analysis

Entry

- Entry time 4:34pm

- Risk 0.25%

- Exit plan @ 99.600 for approx. 1.29R

Post Analysis

- Scratch the trade with small profits.

- Reason for scratch, correlation between CAD and JPY was very close (both currencies equally strong).

- I did not check correlation between the two before entry and also did not refer to VSA chart system.

- I am under pressure as price barely move to downside and this led me to scratch this trade.

- If made entry later at New York session, chances are there to collect profits probably more than 2R.

- During New York session VSA chart system also shows clear picture on where this pair headed to.

- I missed this opportunity again to make profit.

- I believed this trade taken under FOMO state of mind.

- I need written trading plan/checklist now. Always refer checklist before made an entry. Get it done now.

- TIMING is my biggest issue.

- VSA chart system for better timing of entry

- Price hit max profits of 2.5R

- Also, I marked ideal entry point during New York session.

- This short trade was much better than trade that I took with USDJPY short.

- Trade at resistance level (H1) but on higher timeframe (D1) it was not an important level, so it need to take with caution.

- Price approach previous drop with sign of weakness, especially no demand (approaching old top with volume getting less)

- JPY was the weakest currency across the board. All JPY pairs broke New York session.

- Entry during London session, approx. time 5:06pm

- Max profits around close to 5R.

- In the real trade I may be close at 3R (as shown on the 3 minutes chart)

CHFJPY:

- Time of entry approx. at 3:48pm

- In real situation maybe I exit at 0.89R profits only (as shown on 3 minutes chart)

- Max profits around 5R.

- The reason I missed these two trades was, I caught sleeping during the first 3 hours of London session due to fatigue. I am unable to prepare my day until around 6 to 7pm. What a big missed.

6 Sept 2022 (Trade Example): CADJPY & USDJPY
