 NZDUSD short trade 20/12/22

Pre-Analysis

- NZDUSD 15 min chart got sign of weakness (SOW). Volume was ultra-high. Looking for a short trade.

- Entry

- Time of entry 5:15pm

- Risk 0.25%

Post-Analysis

- I scratched this trade with very small profits.

- Plan to swing this trade, but then during New York session price reverse back towards my entry.

- This made me think this trade will not work and decided to close.

- 2 options I can use, first move stop to breakeven (this trade may survive and will give benefit of swing trade). Second, I can be opted for a day trade, stop might be tighten and take profits at the recent low.

- I am changing my trading style to day trade after this, try to take profits at the region of 2R or 3R only instead of swing for bigger profits.

- Try to realize profits within the same trading day to boost confident.

  

- Update on price chart (21/12/22)

- It seems if I move stop at breakeven this trade still alive.

- Sign of strength on 15 minutes chart of USDCAD (with ultra-high volume).

- Entry

Post-Analysis

- Trade closed with losses.

- I scratch this trade.

- The test not testing the ideal test area which is the trigger point or inside buying area (price where ultra-high volume appeared).

- Next time do not take trade when price not at least testing the trigger number.

- Update on USDCAD price chart (21/12/22)
